THE HICKORIES are a folk-pop band out of Arlington, Va., a silver-dollar's throw from our nation's capital. In their debut EP, Lost in Pennsylvania, as well as live performances, The Hickories offer "warm, inviting songs that [combine] the best of folk and country," according to The Washington Post.

Sweet, intertwining harmonies, jangly guitars and grounding percussion pair with smart and sincere all-original lyrics to create songs that are at once upbeat and wistful. The band's brand of folk-country-pop rock tunes are fun, catchy and sentimental possibly triggering involuntary bursts of reminiscing by listeners "for an era they'll never know."

Check them out on MySpace.com, download their EP at iTunes or, better yet, catch a show and pick up the CD in person—purchasing the CD at a live performance comes with the special gift of a friendly greeting and warm smiles from the band.
